Privacy policy

Effective from 23 July 2026

This policy explains how I process and protect your personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Slovak Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on the Protection of Personal Data. I take the protection of your data seriously and process only what is necessary.

2. What data I process

I process personal data mainly when you contact me through the contact form or by e-mail. This includes:

  • first name and surname,
  • e-mail address,
  • phone number,
  • the content of the message you send me.

Technical data (IP address, browser type) may also be processed automatically to operate and secure the website and through cookies — more in the Cookie policy.

3. Purpose and legal basis

  • Handling your enquiry and communication — based on your consent or to take steps prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(a) and (b) GDPR).
  • Website security and operation — based on legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

4. Retention period

I keep data from the contact form only as long as necessary to handle your enquiry and any follow-up communication, but no longer than 12 months from our last communication unless we agree to work together. If we do, I keep the data for the period required by applicable law.

5. Recipients and processors

I do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. To run the website and deliver messages, I use service providers (web hosting, e-mail and analytics services) who process data as processors under a contract and in line with GDPR.

6. Your rights

As a data subject, you have the right to:

  • access your personal data,
  • have it corrected or completed,
  • have it erased (“right to be forgotten”),
  • restrict processing,
  • data portability,
  • object to processing,
  • withdraw your consent at any time.

You can exercise your rights by e-mail at hodanrichard@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority — Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic.

I may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page.
